I’ve learned that there is such a thing as a “tribe” in this journey called parenthood. I recently experienced the power and strength of this tribe when we lost a little boy, named Carter, to cancer. They came out in droves, pulled every string and made things happen. It was truly humbling to be a part of such an amazing group of people. This tribe came through again and we worked together on to raise funds for the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation.
“Plenty of people will think you’re crazy, no matter what you do. Don’t let that stop you from finding the people who think you’re incredible—the ones who need to hear your voice, because it reminds them of their own. Your tribe. They’re out there. Don’t let your critics interfere with your search for them.” ― Vironika Tugaleva
A few months ago, a friend of mine asked if we could pull together a photo fundraiser. After much thought, I pulled together my studio equipment and found my inspiration – the Superhero Sessions – dedicated to the bravest superhero I have ever known. And once again, this tribe came through and we had the best time creating some pretty amazing imagery.
