As a native New Yorker, my first film images were of the Statue of Liberty. I was 13 years old and on a field trip, toting along my mom's old Canon AE-1, her prized possession. After that trip, the camera never left my side. I never realized it was a calling until years later.
I moved to Los Angeles as a high school sophomore and found myself immersed in wanting to learn about all things photography, from posing techniques to light and shadows. While studying conceptual photography at the University of California, Irvine I began photographing weddings for free meals and the cost of film (starving college student and all) which led to word of mouth referrals and the start of my professional career in the world of wedding and portrait photography.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Arts, Photography, I decided to make Orange County my home. I adopted a dog, met a boy, married him, traveled the world for work (and for fun), and eventually became a mom. These days, I'm photographing fewer weddings but have found a new path in lifestyle portraiture, commercial and editorial work.
My love for creating images is still strong. I credit my connection to my clients for keeping me passionate about my craft. My favorite thing in the world is watching my families grow and capturing their stories for them to remember forever.
